COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
At the Greater Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, we are a community of entrepreneurs and business leaders who believe in the power of collaboration and support. As business owners in rural NB, we understand how vital it is to have a strong community backing us up. Throughout the year, we give back to our community through various initiatives that support our local businesses and residents. Our Chamber members are the backbone of our efforts, and their continued support is essential to our success.
NBCC Scholarship
$500 Scholarship granted each year to a WHS student entering the Business Program at NBCC.
Canada Day Celebrations
We provide additional support to the Town of Woodstock to ensure entertaining and dynamic community celebrations.
Christmas Celebrations
A town-wide event in mid-November kicks-off the Christmas season with a torch-light parade by the Special Olympics, the lighting of the Christmas tree, photos with Santa + Mrs Claus, as well as several retail events throughout the greater Woodstock area.
Community Events
The Board regularly votes on sponsorship requests at our monthly meetings. If a request is beyond our means, fellow Chamber members may be asked for additional support.
Woodstock Nigh Market
This event brings much needed vibrancy to our downtown during otherwise quiet summer evenings. Artisans, farm producers, and food vendors converge on the boardwalk in downtown Woodstock for an ever-growing market.
Santa Claus Parade
A Sunday tradition in early December welcomes holiday-themed floats from Woodstock and surrounding areas.
